Rabbi Yosef Gavriel Bechhofer has served as a Rav, Rebbe, Rosh Kollel and teacher in the Chicago and New York areas. Rabbi Bechhofer is one of the few individuals to have served as a Maggid Shiur for complete cycles of both Daf Yomi Bavli and Daf Yomi Yerushalmi. He has served as a writer and editor for Artscroll/Mesorah and has published numerous essays in major Jewish periodicals and journals. His published seforim are: The Contemporary Eruv: Eruvin in Modern Metropolitan Areas, Bigdei Shesh on Bava Basra, and Bigdei Shesh on Sefer Shoftim. Thousands of audio and video recordings of his lectures and shiurim (including the entire Talmud Yerushalmi) are available online (see his blog, rygb.blogspot.com, for links). He teaches at YBH in Passaic, monitors yeshivos for accreditation, consults on the construction of community eruvin, teaches and lectures extensively in various venues and online, and serves as a Dayan on the Beth Din of America. He recently became the Mara D’Asra of Cong. Anshei Palisades in Pomona, NY.
